The exotic notes of C&Câ€™s flagship wine play lovely counterpoint with many Thanksgiving dishes, especially those that include earthy and herbal sage â€“ a sage-rubbed turkey, perhaps, or sage and sausage stuffing. On the nose, intense aromatics of grapefruit and blossoms open to a palate reflecting tropical flavors of pineapple and guava. As usual, the C&C GewÃ¼rz is very dry (about 0.4% R.S.), so that it can be enjoyed as a dinner wine as well as an aperitif.
