Content-Rich Format Provides Visitors with a Culinary, Coastal and Cultural
Overview of San Luis Obispo County

San Luis Obispo County, CA (February 18, 2016) Visit San Luis Obispo County announces the release of its 2016 Official San Luis Obispo County Visitors Magazine. The magazine is now available to view, download and request copies at To request a hard copy, please email or call 805.541.8000.

In 2016, Visit San Luis Obispo County partnered with publisher PACE for the second year, to expand a fresh, content-rich Visitors Magazine. The Visitors Magazine is the gateway for tourists pursuing more information about San Luis Obispo County's unique Culinary, Coastal and Cultural assets and a guide to plan their multi-day getaway. Published annually, the colorful travel planner comes in the form of a lifestyle format, which includes in-depth features on a number of county attractions and personalities.

New in 2016 the magazine features three local chef interviews, dishing out some of the hottest culinary trends in San Luis Obispo County. Additionally, the magazine highlights a special section called "Ask a Local," where local tourism industry professionals offer insider tips on their favorite activities in the region. "Our beautiful new magazine is a great compilation and source for more information on all the magnificent activities to experience in our area," said Chuck Davison, President & CEO, Visit San Luis Obispo County. "The impactful photos and editorial-rich format give readers a deep sense of what is in store for them in San Luis Obispo County."

The magazine also includes a section on wine country, attractions, events, restaurants, and the unique lodging mix in San Luis Obispo County, including hotels/motels, bed & breakfasts, RV parks and vacation rentals. A returning section titled "The Lay of the Land" offers visitors a helpful overview of San Luis Obispo County communities and beaches with various tips and highlighted activities. Complemented by colorful, vibrant photos, the section targets the reasons why people come to San Luis Obispo County ”from outdoor attractions such as beaches, biking and wildlife, to local and cultural events.

Forty-five thousand magazines were printed and will be sent to potential visitors, leisure and business travelers, meeting planners, travel agents, tour operators and media throughout the country. Additionally, the magazine will be available to all Visit San Luis Obispo County partners through local chambers, visitor centers and lodging partners. The magazine is currently available in California Welcome Centers in San Francisco, Oxnard, Merced and Pismo Beach and at airport locations in Santa Barbara, Burbank, San Luis Obispo and San Jose.
