SLO THEATRE RECEIVES $5,000 GRANT FROM
THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY

$5,000 Grant Underwrites the Cost of a New Stage Lighting Console for the Theatre

(SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA) The San Luis Obispo Little Theatre has received a generous $5,000 grant from The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County (CFSLOCO). This grant has been used to replace the Little Theatre’s 23 year old lighting control system with a new state-of-the-art computerized lighting console that is able to be programmed with multiple lighting designs for multiple shows. The new system will greatly enhance the experience of both audiences and technicians alike during the 2014-2015 Season, which will feature 25 shows, 225 performances on 45 out of 52 weekends during the year. Such an ambitious season would have been impossible to sustain, from a technical standpoint, without the purchase of this new lighting system. This gift from the Community Foundation has enabled the Little Theatre to upgrade this outdated, critical equipment, thus enhancing our productions, our volunteer experience and the public perception of the Little Theatre as a professional quality theatre in San Luis Obispo.
