San Luis Obispo County, CA— Visit San Luis Obispo County will launch its seventh annual Restaurant Month promotion on January 1, 2014 with over 40 restaurants participating countywide. Visitors and locals can experience the region’s locally inspired cuisine throughout January as participating restaurants offer various special menus and promotions, most featuring a three-course prix fixe meal. Restaurant Month began locally and now is part of California Restaurant Month designed by Visit California. This statewide promotion brings California Cuisine to life in area communities of: Arroyo Grande, Avila Beach, Cambria, Cayucos, Morro Bay, Paso Robles, Pismo Beach and San Luis Obispo.

Returning in 2014 is Wine Wednesdays where select restaurants will host a winery from the San Luis Obispo or Paso Robles area, recently named “Wine Region of the Year” by Wine Enthusiast Magazine. WineWednesdays is a great opportunity to meet local winemakers and try some of the areas best wines.

Here’s how it works. Participating restaurants will offer various specials, most featuring a three-course prix fixe menu for $30 in January (offers vary per restaurant). Menus may be paired with award-winning wines from Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo wine country for an additional charge.
