The City of Atascadero makes it easy for you to get to and from local hotels and the Sunset Magazine Savor the Central Coast event this weekend. Just take the free shuttles that will run all day long both days of the Main event.
Buses will run between the event and the Best Western Colony Inn (3600 El Camino Real), Holiday Inn Express (9010 West Front Road) and the Super 8 Motel (6505 Morro Road).
For a complete schedule of shuttles just click here.
Atascadero is just a couple of miles away from the Main Event. That means you will have the opportunity to ride a shuttle bus into town, check us out, then return to the Santa Margarita event site. At the end of the day, just jump on the free shuttle again to return to your hotel or the Sunken Gardens in the center of the downtown area.
The Savor Main Event, featuring hundreds of wines, gourmet food, celebrity chefs, Volvo test drives and a 20,000 square foot pavilion featuring the finest that four counties and potpourri of cities have to offer will be this weekend (Oct. 2-3) at the Santa Margarita Ranch just south of Atascadero in the small rural community of Santa Margarita CA.
The City of Atascadero will present a major display of local activities and history. The display in the Main Pavilion Tent will also feature information about Atascadero restaurants and the newly-formed Atascadero Wine Association. The Atascadero presentation will also include live animal displays from the Charles Paddock Zoo in Atascadero, the only accredited zoo between Santa Barbara and San Jose. The Zoo will offer special discounted admission fees all weekend long.
Atascadero representatives will be on hand all during the event to meet and greet visitors and tell the Atascadero story. You may sign up for visitor information and enter drawings for travel packages, gift baskets, local wines, restaurant offers and free golf. Be sure you stop by the display area next to food and wine-tasting and the Monterey Bay Aquarium exhibit to pick up free gifts like canvas tote bags, Frisbees, CD caddies, gold-plated ornaments depicting the historic Atascadero Administration Building and Get Stuck On Us! sticky pads.
