Dear Cal Poly Community:

Spring Commencement will take place on the Cal Poly campus this Saturday, June 14th and Sunday, June 15th. There will be approximately 30,000 guests expected to arrive for the commencement ceremonies. In addition, several student residents will be completing move-out from the residential hall areas.

Due to the increased volume of traffic, the University Police Department will have additional staffing throughout campus roadways, parking lots, and intersections to facilitate traffic flow and parking. If you plan to be on campus this weekend, please plan your travels and parking accessibility accordingly. Please see parking lot and roadway information and closures below.Parking And Traffic Information For June 14th And June 15th:

  • Mobility Impaired Parking: The C-7 parking lot on California Blvd. (enter from Highland Drive) and the top level of the Grand Avenue parking structure will be reserved for disabled parking. These parking areas will be closed to general parking beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 13th until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 15th.
  • The California Blvd. entrance to campus will not be accessible for general traffic.·
  • All visitors are encouraged to use the Highland Drive or Grand Avenue entrances to campus to access available parking.
  • City and regional bus services may notice a slight delay on June 14th and 15th.

Mobility Impaired Shuttle Service Is Available Both Days Of Commencement:

A shuttle service will be provided for mobility impaired guests from the Grand Avenue parking structure and the C-7 parking lot next to Spanos Stadium. The shuttle stops will be at the passenger drop-off loop in front of the Christopher Cohan Center and the northwest side of Spanos Stadium. Shuttles will be provided from the northwest side of Spanos Stadium to the post commencement ceremonies.We would like to thank you in advance for your assistance and cooperation during this busy campus event.
