Our small hamlet in Pismo Beach will be visited by the crew of the North American Fishing Vessel that was featured in the 4th Season of the Deadliest Catch reality show. This fascinating Television program was about the trials and tribulation of the King Crab Industry and Fisherman from Dutch Harbor, Alaska in the Bering Sea.
The Cracked Crab in Pismo Beach will be the only place in America this year to feature this succulent and amazing marine delicacy. "I will be hosting the crew from the North American Fishing Vessel in Pismo Beach on December 8 & 9 for dinner and a book signing," sited Mike Lee owner of the Cracked Crab, "I just returned from Dutch Harbor and sampled the Alaskan hospitality and I purchased 6000 pounds of prime Alaskan King Crab."
Captain Sten Skaare and his crew will be visiting Pismo Beach with author Travus Arkett to sign their amazing pictorial and non-fiction book called Deadliest Waters, Bering Sea Photography. The book tells of the valiant story of how the crew came to Dutch Harbor and what it is like to live and work in this remarkable industry. It also features phenomenal photography of the boat, sea and crab. You can purchase a book and have it signed by the entire crew.
The North American bunch will be at 751 Price Street in Pismo Beach from 5pm-7pm on Wednesday, December 8 and then on Thursday from 2pm-6pm on December 9, 2010. This was be a perfect time to try a whole Alaskan King Crab served with spicy Cajun sausage, red potato and corn cobetts served in a steaming bucket that is bursting with the most amazing flavor from the Cracked Crab.
