Rev Up Hot El Camino "Cruize Night" with AMERICAN GRAFFITI!

The Atascadero Performing Arts Center Committee (APACC) invites you to "get off the line" before anyone else in anticipation of the 2012 Hot El Camino Nite event in downtown Atascadero. Hundreds of classic cars will cruise El Camino Real on the evening of Friday, Aug. 17th as the 20th annual event returns to Atascadero.

Before that, however, on Wednesday, Aug. 15th, celebrate the 60's at a special screening of George's Lucas nostalgic coming-of-age move set in Modesto, CA, "American Grafitti." The film starts at 6 p.m. at the state-of-the-art Galaxy Theatre in Colony Square at Highway 41 and El Camino Real in downtown Atascadero. Tickets are $25 and include film, appetizers, pizza root beer floats, movie trivia, 60s costume contest and wine-tasting by St. Hilaire and Grizzly Republic wineries. (21 and over only, please)
American Graffiti was co-written and directed by George Lucas starring Richard Dreyfuss, Ron Howard, Paul Le Mat, Harrison Ford, Charles Martin Smith, Cindy Williams, Candy Clark and Mackenzie Phillips. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture, Best Director (George Lucas), Best Original Screenplay (Lucas, Willard Huyck and Gloria Katz), Best Supporting Actress (Candy Clark) and Best Film Editing (Verna Fields and Marcia Lucas).
