Enjoy music? How about a picnic, wine and music in one of the local parks? I recently discovered Templeton's Concerts in the Park outdoor music series and wanted to share this new ‘find' with you.
Templeton Community Park is one of those old fashioned parks with the green expanse of grass, picnic tables and one of those wonderful Victorian gazebos. Just gazing at the park grounds is relaxing! So, when I heard they had park concerts every Wednesday through August, I had to check it out.
Load up your picnic basket, select your wine (although both food and wine can be purchased at the event), grab those beach chairs and head on down to 6th and Crocker in Templeton. The music starts at 6:30 p.m. and lasts for a good two hours of old fashioned family fun. It's a good time, beautiful setting and perfect opportunity to get a taste of real small town Americana.
Here's the schedule for the remaining concerts through August:
August 17th: JD Project (Rock, Blues & Soul)
August 24th: Unfinished Business (60's Rock and Roll) - starts at 6 p.m.
August 31st: Monte Mills & the Lucky Horseshoe Band (Country) - starts at 6 p.m.
