I Love Where I Live: It's Almost ZIN Time!

Those of us in the North County of San Luis Obispo reserve a place of special sentiment for our heritage grape: the stalwart fruit of the zinfandel vine - so when the Zinfandel Festival comes around each March, you can bet we're front and center, ready to celebrate this hardy vine and most tasty varietal of Paso Robles' stellar wines.

This year the Zinfandel Festival celebrates its 20th year and runs the weekend of March 16th - 18th, 2012 and gives all plenty of reasons to visit, taste our recent releases, and just have lots of good old-fashioned fun! The fun begins at the festival on Saturday March 17th with a tasting, auction, gourmet food bites, and even a cigar experience. Tickets to this event are limited: http://www.pasowine.com/events/zinfandel-festival.php

Events are occurring all weekend in celebration of our beloved ZIN. While we have over 200 wineries in the area, we have a select group that specialize in their Zins, a listing of these can be found at: http://www.pasowine.com/events/zinefandel-wineries.php

Be forewarned, we Zin lovers are a tough group. I always say, "Once a Zin fan, ALWAYS a Zin fan (especially after you've tasted our Paso Robles Zins)." So, if you love this varietal like many of us here do, or just yearn to discover one of Paso's treasures, be sure to get your tickets, hotel reservations, etc. because the secret is most definitely out.
