I Love Where I Live: Join Me at Cayucos Wine & Food Festival!

cayucos food and wine fest

If you've read my blog entries, it's no surprise that you'll find me at most of the wine events here on the Central Coast. I mean... living here and all... who can look a gift horse in the mouth?

With that said, the Cayucos Wine and Food Festival is one event I have yet to experience, and looking at the wineries represented... I am really excited to give the event a try! Take a look at the bevvy of participating wineries listed below and you will find most of these are small, boutique vintners. With over 150 wineries in the North County, I absolutely LOVE IT when I find these smaller, lesser known and often, hard to get to, vintners.

This event is a ‘slam dunk' for me: I get to taste all these hard to find wines at one venue... and who knows... there might be one or several real "finds" among them!

With all that said, there is no denying the allure of the town of Cayucos, itself. It really is one of the last remaining beach towns (before being discovered by the masses). I've taken family and friends there to walk the pier, visit the antique shops, and just generally enjoy the aura of the town, and without exception all come away charmed by it's authentic character.

Plan your trip to visit the festival on Saturday, September 19th from 4-8 pm at Cayucos Vet's hall located at the foot of the pier. Admission is $20 for your glass and the wine tastings... food is extra.
