I Love Where I Live: Join Me at Paso Robles'
Wine Harvest Festival!

paso wine harvest weekend

I have to admit I am a bit spoiled living among the vineyards of San Luis Obispo's North County. Not only do the vines provide a beautiful natural setting, but a whole culture has emerged over the last ten years that celebrates the farming of grapes and the making of wine.

A big part of that culture has to do with celebrating the grape harvest. This upcoming weekend, October 19-21, the Paso Robles area growers, vintners and tasting rooms will be celebrating their wine grape harvest. With over 200 wineries in the Paso Robles area, there will be every excuse imaginable to get in our car and drive on over to partake of this annual festivity. In fact, this year, we have over 120 individual events - BBQ's, winemaker dinners, vineyard tours, tasting room parties and grape stomps planned for the weekend.

Unlike Napa, it's still possible to get up close and personal with the people making these wines. You'll actually be able to meet the winemakers, the owners and all the others who enjoy the lifestyle of living among the vines. It's a great opportunity to learn more about wine, especially Paso Robles wines, from the people who are creating these wonders!

Like I said, with over 120 individual events planned for the 3 days of harvest weekend, there are way too many activities to go into here. Instead, let me direct you to the Vintners' Website where you can download the weekend's program and event guide.

The website Pasowine.com will have all the information you need to plan out your travels through the vineyards, and which events to partake of.

Enjoy your weekend and the many fabulous wines of Paso!
