I Love Where I Live: Discover Jack Creek Farm's
Heirloom Tomato Tasting - Sept. 15th!

JackCreek Farms

Where else but on the Central Coast do we have not only the weather, but also the interest and expertise to grow those hard to find, often hard to grow, but oh so delicious varieties of heirloom tomatoes?

Located on one of the nation's most beautiful highways - HWY 46 West - you'll find JACK CREEK FARMS roadside farm stand. This farm stand is a local "fav", serving as a hub not only for Jack Creek Farm's goods, but as an outlet for other local farmers' products as well.

Coming up on September 15th, 2012 from 1-3 pm is their special "Heirloom Tomato Tasting." This year Becky is growing over 50 varieties of heirloom tomatoes on the farm and this is your chance to get a taste of these beauties! Have you ever heard of Cherokee Purple, Pineapple, Red Zebra, John Baer, Paul Robeson, Julia Child, Mortgage Lifter Radiator Charlie, Basinga, Box Car Willie or Black Krim ... these are just a few of the varieties being grown on the farm. The afternoon also includes sampling infused vinegars from Chaparral Gardens of Atascadero, olive oil from Oleo Nuevo and Tiber Canyon, and walnut oil from Limerock Orchards.

Admission to the "Heirloom Tomato Tasting" is free. Bring your friends and family and plan to spend a few hours enjoying the food and fun times abundantly offered at the farm stand. It's a wonderful visit for adults as well as children.
