"A Musical Holiday Walk around the Lake"
The purpose of this event is to celebrate the holiday season and bring people together in song and joy at Atascadero Lake. Join us on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.
The Charles Paddock Zoo will be open from 5:30 to 8:30 pm and admission will be free to all. Bring a flashlight, and see our wildlife after hours. You may even get to see an oh Ho Ho Ho Happy Surprise Guest!
Homes all around the Atascadero Lake will be decked out with special lighting and holiday decorations.
More than 20 local choirs, bell ringers, carolers and other music groups, including some from Atascadero High School, will perform seasonal music and entertainment around the lake and in the park.
A Live Performance by AHS Marching Band at 5:30 p.m. is kicking off the Special Family Night for our Musical Holiday Walk.
Hot cider, popcorn, and other refreshments will be available as you walk around the lake, including special treats from the City of Atascadero. All free of charge!
The primary parking areas are the zoo parking lot, the baseball field lot, and pavilion lot.
Marchant Way and Lake View Drive will be closed from 5:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
If there is a steady rain prior to or during the event, some street activities may be cancelled.
