OPTIONS Awarded Perfect CARF Accreditation
CARF, The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission, has announced that OPTIONS Family of Services, Inc. has been accredited for a period of three years in Employment Services.
More than 2,000 organizations each year seek CARF accreditation internationally. According to Brian Boon, CEO of CARF, "This is an extraordinary accomplishment, as only about 3% of CARF surveys result in no recommendations." OPTIONS has accomplished the feat of a perfect survey five out of the last six times it has been accredited.
OPTIONS was established in 1984 in San Luis Obispo County. It currently operates employment services, residential sites and day services to over 200 persons with developmental disabilities and persons recovering from traumatic brain injuries. Services are all community based from Santa Maria to Paso Robles. Michael Mamot, CEO/Founder of OPTIONS stated, "We are all very proud of our recent performance which CARF acknowledged. The last few years have been extremely challenging from a financial point of view. This all the more reason to take pride in a perfect survey outcome!"
This accreditation outcome represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization's substantial conformance to the standards established by CARF. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation outcome has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable, and accountable.
CARF is an independent, not-for-profit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served.
