Pop Open a Bottle of Bubbly and Follow this san Luis Obispo County Sparkling Wine Map

While we may not be able to call it Champagne, Sparkling Wine is just as popular in San Luis Obispo County and just as delicious. Champagne can only be made from three different types of grapes, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier from the Champagne region in France, but Sparkling Wine can be made from any type of grape using the same methode traditionelle or method champenois as Champagne. Some local producers have even used Viognier, Granache, and Marsanne varietals to create their unique sparkles.

Get out there and try something different this weekend by following The San Luis Obispo County Sparkling Wine Map created by Liz Dodder of Cali Coast Wine Country. So sip, savor and effervesce because Bubbles aren't just for special occasions anymore.
