Anyhow, the evening was great... filled with delicious local treats, local wine, great people and a 10ft tall chicken! I probably ate enough Brown Butter Cookies and Walnut Oil to feed an entire army (I just couldn't help myself!). A highlight of the evening was announcing the name of that 10ft tall chicken. We actually ran a contest on Facebook asking for name suggestions for the chicken and the winner would receive an autographed Tyler Florence cookbook! We had over 80 names that were submitted so we had to choose the top 10 most original names, put them in a bowl and then randomly draw a winner. And the winning name is.... COOP. Isn't that cute!
It was really great to see everyone gather together and celebrate what will be the best thing to ever hit Slo County! I would like to send a special thank you to Seven Sisters Trading Post, Ancient Peaks Winery and Avila Beach Golf Resort for hosting the event.
