SLO Botanical Garden Blooms Bright on the Web
The all-new San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden website is as vibrant and colorful as the garden in springtime. Designed and built from the ground up by Barnett Cox & Associates, slobg.org is an informative, easy-to-navigate guide to everything the Garden has to offer.
Want to know what's in bloom right now? Find it on the website. Looking for cooking ideas or pruning tips? The website has them. How about upcoming concerts? You will find those as well.
Free tours for school groups or the general public may be arranged on the web. And you can download a packet of information about renting this gorgeous facility for an event of your own.
The Help Us Grow page offers a convenient opportunity for sustaining the garden through memberships, donations, memorials and volunteering. Eve's Garden Shop gives members a 10-percent discount on plants, apparel, books, gourmet foods and home décor.
After your virtual tour, the sure-fire next step is to visit the garden itself. The San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden is located at El Chorro Regional Park, across Highway 1 from Cuesta College. Open daily during daylight hours; admission is free. The business office and gift shop are open 9-5 every day. A $3 fee is charged for parking in El Chorro Regional Park April through September on weekends and holidays.
The San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden is a non-profit organization sustained by the generosity of members, businesses and friends. Each charitable gift supports the garden's mission to honor and preserve connections with nature. The organization's objective is to be a financially self-sustaining world class botanical garden that displays and preserves the diverse plant life of Mediterranean climate zones.
