Paso Robles, CA- In Spring of 2010, Vina Robles uncorked a new visual experience at its Hospitality Center with the opening of an Art Gallery. The Gallery at Vina Robles is a dedicated 1,800 square-foot space that features rotating exhibits from a variety of accomplished local and regional artists. Art, wine, and food are classic pairings that meld together to create an extraordinary wine country experience here at Vina Robles.
On the evening of Friday, May 6, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Vina Robles will celebrate the opening of their latest art exhibition presented by the Central Coast Watercolor Society, The Big Water Media Show. The evening, which is complimentary and open to the public, will include the announcement of winners, wine tasting and light appetizers.
The Big Water Media Show includes a three day painting workshop for the artists and an exhibition that will run through July 30, 2011. The Gallery is open daily during tasting room hours from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and offers self-guided information on the artists and their pieces. Most works will also be available for purchase.
On Sunday, June 12, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Vina Robles and the Central Coast Watercolor Society (CCWS) will host "Paint with Wine" at the Vina Robles Hospitality Center. Participants are invited to enjoy a summer afternoon at the winery while painting a 10 foot group watercolor alongside the members of CCWS. Each participant will receive a Paint by Wine T-Shirt, a matted part of the group painting, as well as a chance to win great door prizes. Vina Robles wines will be available for purchase. Tickets are $15 per person; $25 per couple. No prior art experience is necessary. Proceeds will help CCWS continue with their mission to present art and art education to the San Luis Obispo County community.
