Undiscovered Gems of SLO County:
Lazy Arrow Outdoor Adventures

San Luis Obispo County draws tourists from all over the world with it’s beautiful coastlines, rolling hills of vineyards and cool climate. This series of blogs is going to be dedicated to the lesser known, undiscovered gems of San Luis Obispo County - places that we love, and think our guests should know about! About a week ago, the Visit SLO County team had the opportunity to visit one of these lesser known gems: Lazy Arrow Outdoor Adventures.

Lazy Arrow is located just outside the town of Creston, off Highway 58 at Camatta Creek Road. Set amongst 32,000 acres, it’s owners (the Morrison Family) have dedicated the last 23 years to creating a unique and fun environment for their guests. The Ranch offers a variety of activities and accommodations. The picturesque fields of grass and wildflowers provide an ideal campground for the outdoorsman and their family. In fact, while we were visiting, a group of 60 Airstreams lined the campgrounds for an action-packed weekend of outdoor activities, music, wine and delicious, home-cooked, Santa Maria-style barbecue, all of which are organized by the Morrison Family. The group, totaling over 100 people, experienced the true meaning of un-plugging and un-winding at this beautifully rustic ranch.

In addition to offering an exquisite camp site, Lazy Arrow Outdoor Adventures is home to over 200 exotic animals including North American bison, water buffalo, zonkies (a mix of a Zebra and Donkey), four-horned sheep, mouflon sheep, peacocks and many more exotic birds. Tours are available for small or large groups and can be booked in advance. Additionally, group activities can be arranged, including mountain biking, photography hikes, picnics, school tours, campfires and archery.

Lazy Arrow Outdoor Adventures is the perfect getaway for friends, family reunions, specialty traveling groups, or anyone looking to get back in touch with nature and explore the outdoors. For more information and to book your stay at Lazy Arrow visit
