Cambria Center for the Arts is featuring two artists in August who share a love of working in water-based paint. So they've called the show Just Add Water.
Frank Walker, who works in acrylic, chooses subjects that are a reflection of places he’s been to, lived in, and loved. His work focuses on his fascination with clouds and how they punctuate the landscape.
Jim Karjala, who works in watercolor, loves that the medium has an attitude and a mind of its own. He says, “some of the breathtaking results of happy accidents are the sirens’ songs for aspiring artists.”
Beyond these two fine painters (for viewing and sale), there will be offerings from other painters from Cambria Center For the Arts membership as well as some three-dimensional works. Jewelry and other small works can also be found in the Galley cabinets.
The Gallery weekly hours are Thursday & Friday 1-5 PM, and Saturday & Sunday 11-5 PM. (Summer hours). They are located in the Old Grammar School of Cambria, midway from East and West Village.
Please come to see their newest creations! Always free! Children welcome!
