Mendelssohn in Scotland at Mission San Miguel

As a young man, Felix Mendelssohn traveled to Scotland and was inspired by the castles, landscapes, islands, and the sea. These impressions are captured beautifully in his 'Scottish' Symphony, a work with the dark orchestrations, Romantic melodies, and dancing, lilting rhythms. This will be a full orchestra featuring the finest musicians in the region.

Mission San Miguel Arcangel is also presenting Mozart's Concerto for flute and harp - a unique composition combining flute and harp. It is delightful and elegant.
