The Real Blues Jam (North) is a regular weekly event going down every Thursday evening at D’Anbino and hosted by Ted Waterhouse on Guitar, Slide Guitar & Vocals with Bruce Willard on Bass, and Dean Giles on Drums as the house rhythm section and featuring an ever-rotating lineup of great guest jammers. “The exciting thing about this night,” says Mr. Waterhouse, “is that it’s a chance to play Real Blues in a totally professional room with world-class sound engineering”. He is referring to Carmine Rubino, co-owner of D’Anbino Winery. In addition to producing world-class wines, Rubino is also an award-winning sound engineer and will be working the sound board during the jams.
All musicians are welcome regardless of experience. The only requirement is a focus on the Blues, Chicago, Delta or otherwise. Over the years the Real Blues Jam has attracted professional musicians who just want to have fun with their craft, Novices who want to experience playing and singing live with a solid band, and Music Lovers who just want to dance, have fun and support local, live music. “It can get pretty wild & crazy”, Waterhouse admits with a laugh, “But when it starts cooking, it’s magic” $5 cover goes to the band. Jammers are admitted free of charge. A LoveLiveMusic production.
