Honoring the BIG Impact of Local Women in Our Small Business Community!
Join the Women’s Business Center of San Luis Obispo as it hosts an exciting and inspirational event to honor the impact that women have on our small business community. This event will feature locally owned products & services, educational and networking sessions, plus keynote and local business success story speakers. Enjoy tastefully crafted appetizers and a no-host bar.
Featured talks include the keynote speaker, Dr. Ronda Beaman, who is an internationally recognized expert on leadership, resilience, fitness, education, and life coaching. Her national award-winning book, You’re Only Young Twice, has been printed in five languages. Her memoir, Little Miss Merit Badge was an Amazon bestseller and was featured at The Golden Globe Awards. She has been selected as a faculty resource for the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) university in Argentina, Kyoto and India, where she received the highest speaker ratings among 36 elite faculty. She has been featured on major media including CBS and Fox Television, USA Today, and is a national thought leader for American Health Network. Her talk will be "Grace and Grit" and how women today can succeed, grow and expand without wearing down or out!
The local success story is from Traci Hozie, Co-founder of The Brown Butter Cookie Company and The Cass House, a B&B and a unique event venue in Cayucos. While each of her businesses experiences its own challenges and triumphs, Traci believes company culture is the key to their success. After spending over 12 years in sales and management in the skincare industry, she learned that the ups and downs of entrepreneurship are best weathered when you hire a talented team of people who share your passion. By hiring and training the best people at The Cass House, Traci creates an environment of teamwork and optimism that translate into exceptional service. You'll hear the story behind her success as she shares her insights, lessons learned and ideas for women business owners.
Returning for a second year is Polly Mertens, a strategic business consultant and coach, who will share again her Top Trends for Small Business 2019, plus and a facilitated work session from Kathy Marcove, an executive business trainer on Turning Trends into Profits.
The educational, networking and inspirational afternoon sessions will turn into evening where guests can taste delicious craft appetizers and a no-host bar while visiting the local vendor marketplace.
