Norton, a Berklee College of Music alumni has been named a refreshing, new voice in the US live music and touring circuit. His familiar sound boasts imagery laden lyricism, paired with modern funk arrangements and hip-hop / lo-fi jazz influences that inches you closer to your lover, beneath the lure of that sexy stove light and blue laptop glow. With thoughtful accounts of empathetic resilience, Tim's new direction attempts to draw the line in the sand, point at it and then erase it;
“It’s almost like, everything that you’ve ever been taught as concrete - is now shifting, mirroring the deep societal and interpersonal changes happening all over the world, while we get to reflect on ourselves.”
His passion continued to spill over; “we need to keep our eyes on that dream. One of a not-so-future civilization that is absent of human inequality. One that mirrors love. The inequality that comes from systemic racism, class division and capitalism cannot continue if we desire a symbiotic, mutually beneficial world for our children. This is the time for difficult, but painfully necessary change and I hope these songs stir an inner narrative that initiates a shift. It’s got to start within, and that’s where music comes in.”
Landing notable features in Relix Magazine, San Diego’s Troubadour, NBC’s SoundDiego, NPR’s Tiny Desk ‘Honorable Mentions’ and a brief involvement in the television series, Portlandia - Tim’s style and original music has been gathering attention since he arrived in California in 2014. He’s taken home 3 nominations in the San Diego Music Awards, and eventually won "Best Americana Act" in 2017. Armed with a lean touring line up in 2017, Tim's dedication to his craft led him to tour relentlessly from '17 - '19 with the assistance of Ever Upward Entertainment (Denver, Colorado).
Averaging well over 100 performances a year on the road, Tim grew his band from humble beginnings of Norton’s second single, ‘Holding on to a Dream’ is available everywhere on 9/9. Live Vol. 1 is out now, featuring 6 tracks from their audience-free july performance in North Park, San Diego.

Over the past twenty years, when musicians and producers in Southern California have needed fresh R&B, funk, or hip hop beats, they’ve called on drummer Jake Najor. A former band member of Breakestra, Incredible Moses Leroy, and The Styletones, Najor has performed or recorded with scores of noteworthy artists, including TV on the Radio, Raphael Saadiq, Kelis, Joss Stone, Big Daddy Kane, De La Soul, Karl Denson, Rodriguez, Connie Price and the Keystones, and Empire of the Sun.
When not on tour, the San Diego native performs with a wide network of local musicians, including as a member of the house band for The Redwoods record label.
While most of Najor’s career has been spent contributing percussion in service to the visions of his collaborators, with his debut record, “In the Cut” Najor has been the one enlisting players from his musical cohort to flesh out ten tracks of original grooves, ranging from soulful cinematic instrumentals to hard hitting funk jams.

Bassist Jacob Miranda divides his time between groups that specialize in original music, recording sessions, and more corporate-type gigs. “My problem is I like to work,” laughs Miranda following a full day’s shift and a three-hour rehearsal. “And I like to network and meet as many people as I can. I don’t like to let anything slip through my fingers.”
In 2016, he was playing in several bands. Two of them won San Diego Music Awards that year, Sister Speak and the Lyrical Groove, for Best Pop and Best Hip-Hop, respectively.
Miranda's 2016 album Enlightened Intentions features Miki Vale, Kendrick Dial, Jonnae Thompson, Jawz, and more.
