Google Workshop Banner

Digital information is now the mainstay of modern life, and Google is the tool by which most consumers access that digital information. In fact, Google is responsible for 96% of all smartphone* search traffic, and 94% of total organic traffic*.  

In September 2019, Visit SLO CAL collaborated with destination partners to host a FREE digital education workshop for local businesses on how to expand exposure within Google’s products and improve conversion of digital audiences to actual customers.

At the four in-person workshops, Miles Partnership, Visit SLO CAL's digital agency, provided tactical training and how-to documents covering tips and best practices for getting the most out of opportunities within Google My Business. Topics covered included:

  • Claiming and managing your account
  • Obtaining and responding to reviews
  • Tips to improve your photography
  • Adding 360 images & video
  • Removing photos from your listing
  • Leveraging Local Guides
  • Getting the most from Posts
