Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Visit SLO CAL is currently searching for a Chief Marketing Officer. This is a full-time, exempt position. A vital member of the leadership team, the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will drive the marketing vision and strategy for Visit SLO CAL and play a major role in its growth. They oversee the planning, development and comprehensive execution of Visit SLO CAL’s compelling marketing, branding and communications strategy to increase awareness and drive demand for visitation to SLO CAL. This individual is responsible for identifying changes in the marketing environment or competitive strategies and evaluating and pivoting the marketing plan and philosophy accordingly.This position reports to the President & CEO.

Marketing & Brand Manager

Visit SLO CAL is currently searching for a Marketing & Brand Manager. This is a full-time, exempt position. The Marketing & Brand Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of the Strategic Content Marketing Plan (SCMP) and brand marketing campaigns, working closely with the marketing team, our creative agency, content production contractors, brand ambassadors, website agency and other related contractors. This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Sales Manager

Visit SLO CAL is currently searching for a Sales Manager. This is a full-time, exempt position. The Sales Manager is responsible for tradeshows, sales missions, FAMs, business development, corporate/leisure/meetings and conferences, group, lead and lead generation -- all in an effort to promote a fabulous vacation destination. The Sales Manager is tasked with managing the Travel Trade Department to set, meet -- and even exceed -- the goals of the department, namely our sales and marketing plans and strategies. This position reports to the Director of Travel Trade.

Marketing & Communications Intern

Visit SLO CAL is currently searching for a Marketing & Communications Intern. This is a full-time or part-time, temporary employee position open to students concurrently enrolled in college in San Luis Obispo County. The Marketing and Communications Intern is responsible for assisting the organization in the implementation of its marketing plan and overall business development. This will include communications and research, among other operational duties. The qualified candidate possesses strong creative skills and a substantial interest in marketing and/or tourism. This position reports to the Brand & Marketing Manager. Please note which quarter you would like to do the internship in your cover letter.
