This house was so much better in real life. My family and I were pleasantly surprised at how lovely and huge this house is. The kitchen picture makes it seem like it's a small area, when in fact it was big. I love the kitchen island where we all gathered to help make family dinners/lunches. The kids loved the bocce ball, game room and hot tub. We were here for the partial solar eclipse so we all got to watch it. Loved the sauna and the master bathroom. THis house had so much space and the only downside was it only had two bathrooms - meaning we had to coordinate our showers and use of the toilet. The kitchen is an amazing space and we gathered there cooking eating and partying! The hot tub is wonderful. There are all kinds of wonderful spaces for the whole group or couples or just to sit and relax! We played in the game room and outside.
The location is so spectacular! The views are incredible and it feels so far away from the city and yet there are so many markets and stores close by!

Dreamlike Hacienda Perched Atop Rolling Hills in Templeton
This property was amazing to stay at in Templeton. You are in a world all your own at Las Palmas perched on top of rolling hills in wine country. The home has such character and I well appointed. We took advantage of all the amenities; jacuzzi, bocce ball court, ping pong and pool tables. We were just a short Uber ride away from wineries and also used 101 Wine Tours to get around on our tasting day. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience in Paso &Templeton! There were 9 women sharing the home and it was perfect (the only minor issue was the fact that there are only 2 bathrooms). Enjoy a private paradise!
We were overwhelmed with the beautiful situation of this house. We visited in early spring when, from every room of the house, we saw endless green oak-studded hillsides. There were many comfortable sitting areas for our large group. Would be great for a family with kids, there is a game room complete with LOTS of activities. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was incredible (we made some big, complicated meals and were grateful for the large stove top and two ovens!). Great villa that needs some TLC
Our group of nine enjoyed the great layout and distinctive design of the home. We had some objections to a few of the features, but were able to look past them as the group was having such a good time anyway. But, since you are asking:
(1) One of the bedrooms was virtually unusable due to the condition of the bed --- loose headboard and squeaky springs were so noisy that our friends moved to the futon in the game room just to get some sleep.
(2) The oven/range in the kitchen is beautiful but neither oven worked well. One has no temperature control; all markings on the knob controller have warn off so setting the temp was simply a guess. A thermometer has been placed inside to help determine if we got the guess correct, but when our guess was wrong, we had to re-guess. If the management would simply replace the knob to show the temps, it would dramatically help a frustrating cooking experience. The second oven had extremely uneven heat, which we adjusted to, but objected to the placement/location of the oven as it was too high to get items in/out of without some danger of burning our arms. It worked, but required extreme caution.
(3) The game room has a fantastic array of games, but the lighting is extremely poor/dim and any serious play of ping-pong, pool or foosball is hampered. Some overhead lighting would be a big help.
(4) Internet service wasn't available when we arrived. Because the wi-fi WAS working it was apparent that internet service was SUPPOSED to be available, it was frustrating to not be able to connect. After the first day we finally called Adolfo to ask, "what's up with the internet", and he was able to determine that, indeed, there was an interruption with the service provider. He resolved the problem late on our second day.
We really enjoyed the home despite the issues, and if some attention would be given to these types of problems we would definitely return for another visit. The view, location, and layout are exac - Terry R., Pacific Grove, CA

So sorry to be replying so long after the fact! Both ovens have been replaced with brand new, full-size ovens and are ready and available for group cooking and baking. Beds are now completely comfy and have been for some time. There may have been burnt-out bulbs in the game room, for which we apologize. Those lights are also on a dimmer, so do dial up to full strength. It's true there can sometimes be frustrating wifi provider outages, over which we have no control. We realize that's a great concern, especially in this work-from-home era, and we always try to get resolved as quickly as possible! 80th birthday celebration

This is a huge property with a well equipped kitchen perfect for 2-3 families to share. The location is great with wonderful views, especially at sunset. The bocce court is wonderful, the lawn area is fantastic and the hot tub is large and well maintained. A shout out to Adolfo, the property manager, as well: He was very responsive and available at all hours to answer any questions we had!
The only caution I would offer is that the property needs a little TLC. Some of the kitchen and leisure equipment is old (the ping pong table is heavily water damaged) and there is detritus (old broken furniture, etc) on the property. The mattresses are also a bit past their prime. To be clear: everything was immaculately clean, just worn.
All that said, the place is still a great value and we had a wonderful time. I cannot emphasize how useful it was to have such a large kitchen with all the equipment that was included, and the amenities are more than enough to keep everyone occupied for days spent lounging with friends and family. - Charles V., Oakland, CA

We rented the house for Thanksgiving weekend for 8 people. It is exactly as advertised on the website, if not better. All the rooms were very clean and there was lots of outdoor space to relax in. We were close proximity to many wineries and only 5 minutes away from downtown paso. There is a big shopping complex nearby with an Albertsons if you need to pick something up quick. The kitchen is spacious although it was hard to control the temperature in one of the ovens. The bathrooms were very clean and had lots of towels. This home is in a beautiful location. My family of 9 adults went for a weekend get away mainly for the Bocce Ball. Which by the way is in great shape. When you first walk in the door you are impressed by the house and it's furnishings. However, we were disappointed in the overall cleanliness of the home and it's functionality. There was not enough seating in the living room for the 9 of us to sit comfortably. The game room was the same. We had to carry in chairs from bedrooms and living room for 7 of us to sit and relax to watch a movie at night. The other 2 sat on the floor or a wood dining room chair. The A/C system was so dirty that we had to remove the filters so the air would flow. The bathroom mats/rugs were not cleaned.
The kitchen table had a table cloth on it that was not clean and the wood table itself obviously not been wiped off in awhile. There was a used/dirty coffee mug in one of the bedrooms from the previous guests. The ping pong table is not the best. It was sagging in the middle.
We felt the cleaning was just surface cleaning...wipe it down and bring in the new guests. The property mgmt. staff and Adolfo the host were wonderful! The mgmt. said they appreciated our feedback and would pass the information along to the correct people. I believe they will and hopefully the house will be in better condition for the next guests. I would recommend the house..but I would also tell them our experience so they could check with the management to see if it has been resolved. - Nora W., Marina, CA

We do appreciate all input from our guests and strive to make every improvement possible. The property host was extremely apologetic about the two items that went unnoticed from previous guests and assured us they spend about 10 hours cleaning after each stay. The "sticky" table and cloth is due to the particular finish on that table, rather than cleanliness issues. The entire table and cloth have been replaced. The bathmat issue was due to wear and tear, rather than lack of cleaning and they have been replaced. Carpets are being cleaned and bugs/spiders sprayed for as we transition into warmer weather. Las Palmas is a stunning, spacious home and is ready for your visit!
Birthday Celebration
Our whole family was able to come here and help me celebrate my 65th birthday, and we all had a great time. We had 12 people there, ranging from 68-5 and they all had an amazing time. We played bocce ball for 2-3 hours at a time and it was so much fun that now I want a court in my back yard! The house is so roomy and very well equipped. My only request would be to have another tv in the living room, and maybe another bathroom. I would like to come back again, it was so much fun! A Great Venue for a 50th Birthday Celebration

We celebrated my boyfriends 29th birthday here. We had a group of 13 (ages 26-33) and we had a blast! The hot tub at night is amazing, bocce ball during the day, basketball for the dudes, enough rooms for privacy, and amazing location.

One suggestion would be to provide more check in and out information in a booklet to follow as we had to call for wifi code and what to do to clean up. I hosted a weekend bachelorette party here with 12 girls and overall the stay was PERFECT. The house has beautiful views, is private, comfortable and has everything you need to have a fun and relaxing time. The manager is also very kind and helpful, making the check-in and check-out process easy. Bonuses include the jacuzzi, bocce ball court and game room!

We were so pleased with everything Las Palmas had to offer. We used the house for a bachelorette weekend, and even with 12 girls we had enough towels, beds, and we didn't have an issue with only 2 bathrooms. The house was gorgeous as were the surroundings. It was a great place to stay and enjoy the nearby wine tasting that Paso Robles and Templeton have to offer. The game room was a great place to hang out and the kitchen was well equipped. We couldn't figure out the karaoke machine. One of the microphones didn't work and the screen wouldn't come on, but there were so many other ways to entertain in the game room that it didn't really dampen the fun. New Years Stay
This is the second time u have rented this house with a group of friends. It has everything you could need! The ping pong table, pool table, jacuzzi, and bocce ball court were all hits. The house was super clean with plenty of towels for everyone. The only thing is that I wish it had one more bathroom. With 13 people two bathrooms was a bit tough. Obviously I knew this the second time I booked it but the house is so awesome we sucked it up. The manager is super helpful and accessible. Perfect wine weekend gathering spot...
Between reading the property description and the many reviews, this place pretty much is "as advertised". Beautiful secluded property with many amenities and space for a full house. The many seated patios are perfect for different times of day to enjoy your morning coffee, watch the sunset, or gather around a fire. The property was very clean, although some aspects of the house were a little tired. TV is old and on it's last legs; although with so much to do there we only turned it on once to see if it worked! Our large group of 13 fit well, although really it only sleeps 10 adults comfortably. The biggest complaint of course was the only two bathrooms, with small showers and minimal water pressure. But again, not so bad we wouldn't come back because we definitely would! The only other negative was the property manager was busy and didn't meet us at the house. But really it wasn't necessary as everything laid out was so self explanatory. The game room is awesome. Not listed online but also contains a pretty nice pool table. The karaoke machine we couldn't get to work, and couldn't find any instructions on but otherwise we spent a lot of time in that room and outside enjoying the grounds. It was a perfect home base between visiting various wineries that were all 15 minutes away it seemed. Again, we had an awesome time and it was perfect for what we wanted to do which was spend quality time with friends and family and explore wine country a little. We had a wonderful long weekend at Las Palmas with another family despite an epic storm that rolled in. Luckily the home has PLENTY of room to spread out. The game room in particular was a lifesaver for the four preteens/teens we had en tow. We enjoyed cooking in every evening (bummer it was way to rainy & windy to use the bbq most nights). Lots of cookware, dishes, etc. I would suggest possibly replacing a couple pans as the non-stick coating is showing some wear. The fireplace was wonderful to enjoy in the evenings with some of our newly purchased Paso wines. Furniture was all very comfortable as were the beds. Las Palmas - Better than we ever expected
The Las Palmas Hacienda is an amazing house on an amazing piece of property. We had 11 people staying over new years and the house layout was perfect for a large crew. Everything we could need was either in the house or very easily accessible because it's so close to Paso Robles. It sits atop a hill and overlooks wine country, has a beautiful private back lawn that was perfect for bocce in the afternoon sun. Some of the highlights inside the house was the ability to seat almost 20 people comfortably at with two dining tables. The game room has a stage with a shiny tin ceiling that has a back lit trough lighting it in red lights and a stage. This house was built to entertain and is perfect for 10 people or so. We went to other rental houses in the area where friends were staying and it was obvious we won. It was perfect.

5 couples, All very comfortable except not enough bathrooms
We were 5 couples we went to the Mid state Fair for 2nights of concerts, and had 1 night of staying in and cooking a great meal. During the day played bocce ball and did wine tasting. Gear time lots of memories. The house was in a great location. Away from the crowds of the fair but also just a 10 minute drive and we were there. The house was beutifully decorated so we felt at home and not cold and sterol. It had two large dinning areas a beautiful living room, and an additional large game room, all with breath taking views. Because come back, we will. The property was perfect for our group, and we enjoyed many relaxing meals on all parts of the grounds. The kitchen was well-designed for our planned gourmet preparations. There were so many fun options here that we almost forgot that we came here to go winetasting up north. The property caretaker was very kind and thorough. And the rental service was always very detailed, responsive, and accommodating.
Yes, as others have mentioned before, it would be nice if there was a third bathroom...or at least an outdoor shower area. And the oven was a little tricky to operate. But if you're flexible, you shouldn't have any problems.

My 50th Birthday Celebration!
We had a wonderful time.The house was located in a perfect place close to wineries, cambria, morro bay and all other locations. We were welcomed by Rodolfo who was very professional and very helpful with showing us around. All the amenities were so great to have and made our stay so memorable. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Loved the fact there were so many controls to the heating system in different parts of the house..made it comfortable for everyone. Having plenty of wood available was also very nice. Only downfall was the water pressure in the house and the hot water availablility for 12 people taking showers. It didn't take extremely long to heat back up but did create a waiting line :) Minor set-back with so many other wonderful things this facility had. The Grooms Family Casa!

A few quibbles but relaxed stay overall
I'll get the negatives out of the way. A wall outlet with no power. A rattling ceiling fan in the formal dining room. Feeble water pressure from the shower in the master suite. The karaoke machine that doesn't display on the TV. DISH service not available initially. Wifi is simply G4 service via a Verizon hotspot. Ovens with awkward controls and inconsistent heat.
You might think we had an awful time. But quite the opposite. Though we did have to communicate with the home owner to help us "reboot" DISH TV service (which was very prompt, by the way), the negatives were outweighed by the relaxed times we had in the jacuzzi and dry sauna; the lazy times we had in the patio outside the game room in the morning and as the sun set; and the festive times around the grill, the well-equipped kitchen, and the ping pong table. Ultimately, this secluded hillside house was the getaway we needed. Sure, a few quibbles, but we did not mind them as we took advantage of the house's charms. - Daniel C., Los Angeles, CA

We want to come back! This secluded house, close to town, has everything our family needed. Beautiful and well appointed the many places for quiet reflection as well as spirited time together made this the perfect house for our large extended family. I have to say, I was more impressed with the house in person than the photos. I rented the house for three nights so that I can spend time with my family during the weekend of my wedding. The property was bueatiful, with deer hanging around in the early morning and late afternoons. The house itself was also gorgeous. I loved the openes about it. The kids and adults enjoyed the game room and the bachi ball. The house is located on the backroads, but only 3 minutes away from the winery that I got married inn. It's situated up on the hill which overlooks the hillside and the sunset. A perfect place to unwind
Our group of 8 adults spent a weekend at Las Palmas relaxing and enjoying the wine country. The house is in a great location for the active folks, cycling is great here, and walking the area gives a real feel for the quiet life here. The Paso Robles wine country is so close and we participated heartily in that activity.
We cooked dinners and breakfast at the house and found the kitchen to be great for us with plenty of cookware and lots of dishes and silverware...we could have used a few more glasses.

Came here with 7 girls. Perfect reunion location and house. The view is amazing and you can spend a weekend hanging out at a different patio spot every meal. The hot tub was a great amenity, but we had trouble reaching a good temp. The house sits up on a beautiful hill top over looking Paso Robles, with breath taking sunsets. Only thing is that it is about 3 to 4 miles from town, so not the most convenient for dinning out/ wine tasting and driving. This was a great spot. We had 11 adults in our party and we really took advantage of the gas grill and game room.
The house is ranch style with Spanish influence and was very pretty and cozy. They had plenty of utensils for us to use and cook which was great. wine tasting was excellent in the area.
