Refugio offers cooking classes each season on varying Thursdays and Sundays. Students at the classes learn to create fantastic food, savor award-winning wines, and meet chefs, local winemakers, and food artisans in a warm, convivial atmosphere. Cooking Classes Students at Refugio's cooking classes will learn new cooking and entertaining skills from visiting chefs, and/or owner and local resident Brigit Binns, the nationally-known author of 28 best-selling cookbooks (many of them for Williams-Sonoma). Her most recent cookbook, The NEW Wine Country Cookbook: Recipes from California's Central Coast, celebrates the wine, food, people, and landscapes of her home.
