Sensorio is a one-of-a-kind, multi-sensory adventure in SLO CAL (San Luis Obispo County), celebrated as the must-see light show in Paso Robles. World-famous outdoor art installations light up more than 15 acres of wine-country hillside. Wander along the Field of Lights glowing pathways, weave through color-splashed landscapes and marvel at towering illuminations, whimsical fishing-pole beams and rivers of shimmering fibers.
It’s an unforgettable, after-dark experience perfect for families, date nights and anyone who loves a little magic with their vacation. And while you’re here, don’t miss Sensorio’s spot along the SLO CAL Art Trail, where creativity and coastal charm meet in the most brilliant ways.
The two-mile trail guides visitors through six interactive light-and-color installations that transform Paso Robles’ rolling wine-country hills into the world’s largest artwork of its kind, starting with Field of Lights Paso Robles and complete with scenic lookout points and benches along the way.
British artist Bruce Munro created Sensorio’s Field of Lights, Light Towers, Gone Fishing, Fireflies and FOSO installations, drawing on his passion for shared, large-scale light experiences. His Paso Robles display is his largest yet, encouraging visitors to interact with the glowing fiberoptic landscapes and featuring thoughtful touches like recycled wine bottles in the Light Towers.
The DIMENSIONS exhibit was created by HYBYCOZO, a collective known for its striking geometric sculptures. Their installation at Sensorio is their most ambitious to date, adding another layer of wonder to the already immersive, art-filled environment.
Doing their part to help build a brighter tomorrow. Sensorio uses energy efficient LED lighting and fiber optics that are completely solar powered for its more than 100,000 ‘bulbs’. They implement native landscaping using drought-resident plans and water-wise irrigation. And waste management is top of mind with robust composting and recycling programs. Sensorio puts the natural landscape at the center of their exhibits and is always considering ways to minimize its impact on the surrounding areas. Learn more about sustainability in SLO CAL here.
