Highway 1 Is Open in SLO CAL 

SLO CAL’s 80-mile (128 kilometers) stretch of Highway 1 from Oceano to Ragged Point is open and we look forward to welcoming you!

Traveling from Santa Barbara County?
Your Highway 1 road trip will remain uninterrupted, as the route is fully accessible up to 20 miles north of Ragged Point.

Traveling from Monterey County?
You can easily access Highway 1 in SLO CAL by taking Interstate 101 South to Highway 46 West. This will connect you directly to Highway 1, giving you convenient access to destinations such as Cambria, San Simeon, and Ragged Point to the north, and Cayucos, Harmony, and Morro Bay to the south.

Wildfires predominantly occur in remote, forested areas away from population centers. It is important to follow all laws regarding open fires, camp only in designated areas, dispose of cigarettes properly and put out all fires in designated areas. Travelers should also have an emergency plan and follow any evacuation orders.
