Because SLO CAL is easy to navigate, most points on the trail are within a short drive of one another. In fact, you can usually travel from one end of the county to the other in about an hour, making it simple to enjoy multiple stops in a single day or spread them out over a relaxed getaway.
Daytime visits are ideal, especially for outdoor art installations, since natural light enhances both viewing and photography. Sensorio is the exception, as it is designed to be experienced at night. For indoor galleries and museums, be sure to check their business hours on their respective websites before visiting.

If you’re visiting private galleries, it’s best to ask permission before taking photos, and note that some museums may have restrictions on photography—especially the use of flash.
