Day 1

Arrive at San Luis Obispo Regional Airport and prepare for two fun filled days of exploration with a mix of activities, delicious food and unforgettable experiences.

Margarita Adventures - Santa Margarita

What does a helmet and a margarita have in common? Ziplining above the vines at Santa Margarita Ranch of course! Follow the coordinates to Margarita Adventures headquarters where you’ll check in for your zipline tour – spanning over 7,500 feet across 6 distinct ziplines. On the brief bus ride to the ziplines, you’ll learn some local history and get a lay of the land. Then it’s time to gear up and soar over the ranch. Take a jump and be rewarded with spectacular views in every direction! If heights aren’t for you, fear not. E-bike and nature tours are also available. On site, you’ll also find Escape! the newest escape room experience on the Central Coast.

Tent City – Atascadero

Serving up food, live music and great brews. Tent City is a great entry point into Atascadero’s Brews and Burgers Trail. Order one of Tent City’s house beers or check out their rotating craft beer taps from other local breweries. One thing is for sure – whatever brew you choose will pair nicely with a juicy burger served up on the side.

Bonus Stop: Sylvester's Burgers

Buffalo, Elk, Turkey, Chicken or beef – Sylvester’s Burger has so many burgers to choose from. Really hungry? Order up their 5 LB Big One Burger (eat it in under 30 minutes and it’s free)! Sylvester’s also serves up a free burger on your birthday to celebrate.

The Salty Tiger – Cayucos

A small but mighty bar located in The Pacific Motel, The Salty Tiger serves up beer, wine and small bites whenever their flag outside it up. This might be the tiniest bar in SLO CAL but the style and good times they serve up is worth a stop. Memorable and off the beaten path, stop by for a drink and to take in the local flavor.

Tuck in for a night of rest and rejuvenation at a local hotel or rental in preparation for an equally exciting adventure tomorrow!

Fuel up for the day's activities at Luna Coffee Bar. Order up a specialty coffee (be sure to check out their seasonal offerings) and your choice of breakfast burrito – seven options to choose from. Enjoy a slow breakfast in their secret garden patio seating.

Bonus Stop: Cayucos State Beach

Head to the ocean for some sun and sand time. Fish off the pier, paddle out on a surfboard or explore the tidepools. Lifeguards are on duty during summer months – a great time for a dip. Between Cayucos and Morro Bay there is six miles on continuous beach to explore. This is also a perfect section of sand to discover numerous beach stairs and public access paths.

SLOMA - San Luis Obispo

A combination of permanent collection, instillations and exhibits, San Luis Obispo Museum of Art (SLOMA) offers free admissions and monthly events you won’t want to miss. Utilize the digital guide or join a docent tour held every Saturday at 11 am. Don’t forget to check out the public art and mural project around the museum too.

Junkgirls - San Luis Obispo

Now it’s time to make your own art at Junkgirls’ Art Bar. Browse owners Jenny & Melissa’s collection of handcrafted items made using recycled, repurposed, vintage, antique and found items. You’ll find a mix of unique home furnishings, metal stamping, art materials and more. Their everchanging workshops are the perfect place to make something of your own while being guided by local artists.

Sea Pines Golf Resort - Los Osos

Sea Pines is one of the only places on the Central Coast to experience Footgolf – a combination of soccer and golf! This fun blend is a great way to play one of the amazing coastal golf courses in SLO CAL (especially if golf isn’t really your sport). You’ll enjoy views of the bay and Montana de Oro State Park. Disc golf, spa jacuzzi, clubhouse and free live music on the weekends are also prefect options if you want to extend your visit. Looking for more traditional golf?
